How to play Yeardle

  1. Read three events that all happened in the same year.
  2. Guess the year. Use a minus sign for BC years.
  3. You have eight tries. The box changes color to show how close you are, and it's up to you whether to go higher or lower.

  • Start with a broad guess based on the most famous event, then narrow it down.
  • Unfamiliar events still hint at the era through the names, places and technology mentioned.
