What is Daily Akari?

Place light bulbs to illuminate every square of the grid without any two bulbs shining on each other. A classic Japanese logic puzzle, served daily.

How to play Daily Akari

  1. Place light bulbs in the white squares. Each bulb lights its row and column until a black square blocks it.
  2. Every white square must be lit, and no two bulbs can shine on each other.
  3. Numbered black squares show exactly how many bulbs touch them.

Daily Akari tips

  • Start with black squares marked 4 or 0. They force or forbid bulbs around them.
  • Mark squares that can't hold a bulb with an X to keep track.
